Technical Sales Coordinator based in Cambridge
If you have an industrial or construction sales background, this is an excellent opportunity to prove your technical sales skills, delivering a unique range of innovative products with a leader in concrete solutions.
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll use your exceptional sales skills to grow sales across our full range of concrete reinforcement, accessories, and formwork products. As part of a small, professional team, you will enjoy the challenge of selling unique products with a technical USP to a range of construction customers. This will involve following up sales leads and enquiries, and actively generating sales opportunities based on market intelligence and your own strong customer relationships.
You’ll be involved at every stage of the sales process, from answering direct client calls, to developing quotes, making successful sales, verifying invoices and tracking orders. This includes liaising with suppliers to ensure stock levels are maintained to meet orders. At the same time, you’ll support your sales colleagues and answer technical sales queries.
What you need
We’re looking for a proven sales professional with a keen eye for detail who can deliver accurate, high quality work. Just as important, you’ll need the drive to continue learning new skills and build your product knowledge.
Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, you’ll ideally have sales experience gained in a construction, construction accessories or industrial environment. But that’s not essential. If you have the sales skills, we can help you gain the industry knowledge. What you will need is a strong focus on customer service and the ability to take sales from initial enquiry through to final delivery. An articulate communicator with excellent commercial knowledge and an appreciation of profit margins, you’ll be an effective negotiator, with experience of stock purchasing and phone sales.
